Gustav Anders and Margaretha Bengtsson were the great-grandparents of Ida Kristina (see ID number 1.1.5.11 below) who was the mother of Hellen Colldén who married Oscar Rinell.
A note regarding last names: Scandinavian custom was that children would take first name of their father and append 'son' or 'dotter' (daughter) to the name. Later children took the last name of the father. Therefore, we do not know for instance if Gustav's Bengtsson's son Olof was known as 'Gustavsson' or 'Bengtsson.'
1. Gustav Anders Bengtsson (???? - ????) married Margaretha Nilsdotter (???? - ????).
1.1 Olof Gustavsson (June 14, 1776 - May 21, 1823) married Maja Petrusdotter (March 25, 1786 - September 25, 1864) in 1805.
Olof was born in parish Västa Tunhem, Västergötland. He was a soldier from about 1799 to 1820 and was known as `Ekberg' in the military. He was `dismissed' from military service. He died of `breast-fever'.
Maja was also born in Västa Tunhem. She died a `poor widow' the records state.
1.1.1 Cajsa Olofsdotter (August 25, 1806 - ????) married Anders Carlsson (September 24, 1805 - ????). Anders was born in parish Flo in Skaraborgs län. His soldier name was `Lans'. Anders was a soldier from 1830 to 1849 and he was stationed at the same soldier `torp' or soldier house/residence as his father Olof though they were resident there in different years.
Cajsa's and Anders nine children were born between 1834 and 1851. Two of these children apparently died young.
1.1.2 Andreas Olofsson (July 7, 1812 - ????).
1.1.3 Gunnar Olofsson (April 15, 1817 - ????).
1.1.4 Anders Magnus Olofsson (November 2, 1819 - December 28, 1819). Anders died of `breast-pain'.
1.1.5 Anders Magnus Olofsson (March 4, 1821 - June 26, 1896) married Johanna Olofsdotter (July 7, 1823 - ????) about 1845.
Anders was a soldier starting in 1845. His soldier name was `Mod'. He died in 1896 of `lungsot' or in English, consumption.
His wife Johanna was born in Norra Björke, Västergötland. Anders and Johanna were the parents of Ida Kristina (see ID number 1.1.5.11 below) who was the mother of Hellen Colldén. Ida Kristina married Johan Bernhard Collden. See the document Family Farms in Björketorp Parish for farms in Sweden possibly connected with that side of the family.
Hellen married Oscar Rinell. They had two children, Doris and Roy. Doris married Bernard Holmquist. Their children were Lennart, Meilynn, Carey and Carolynn, all of whom were born in America.
Johanna's parents were Olaus (Olof) Jonasson (November 2, 1789 - ????) and Helena Jonsdotter (July 25, 1788 - ????). Helena was born in Bjurum. Olaus was a crofter (tenant farmer).
Johanna's brothers and sisters were Anna Maria (1815 - ????), Christina (March 2, 1817 - ????), Sara (February 5, 1821 - ????), Beata (January 30, 1826 - ????) and Johannes (July 17, 1832 - ????).
Anders and Johanna had fourteen children. We are assuming at this point that they all took their father's last name of Olofsson. However, Scandinavian custom at one time was to take the father's first name and append it with 'son' or 'dotter'. So, it may be their first born son would have been known as 'Olof Andersson' and Ida as 'Ida Andersdotter'.

1.1.5.13 Svante Olofsson (April 27, 1864 - ????). Svante emigrated to Seattle, Washington, USA. Apparently, he never married. Hellen (Colldén) Rinell and her daughter Doris visited Svante in Seattle around the year 1937.
