People
Most people don't grow up; they just get taller.

Change

Dissatisfaction is the biggest motivator for change.

Books

A book is a window.

Art and Architecture
Thank God for Vesuvius.

Life and Travel
Take the scenic route.

Architecture

Though Frank Lloyd Wright was no angel, he brought a little heaven to earth.

Religious Belief

Only agnostics exist; believers and atheists are figments of their own imaginations.
Personal Growth
May I become the person my dog thinks I am.
Parking

In large parking lots and parking garages, park your car not at the closet spot so as to reduce the number of steps you take, but where you can most easily find your car when you return.

Love

Unrequited love is no fun.

Faith

Those who believe only in a physical universe, also believe in ethics, the value of a human being over that of a rock, and that life has some purpose. But these are transcendent values. If our lives are only chemical responses and the universe merely energy, ethics, value and purpose have no real existence; to believe in them takes faith. Those who believe in a god derive these transcendent values from their transcendent god. The question is, who takes the bigger leap of faith?
