Perched on the mountain top
called Chaumont, and overlooking Lake Neuchâtel
in the distance, is the old Petit Hotel Restaurant. Specialty
of the house is their tender and delicious cheval (horse) steak served
sizzling on a hot slate. If the idea of eating man's second best friend
causes your palate to recoil in horror, the fondue is also good.

The Petit Hotel Restaurant
is open in the mornings for coffee and croissants. Dinners range from
CHF18 to CHF40. For dinner call for a reservation and ask for a table
by the window on the lake side. Dress is casual.
By the way . . . though known as the 'Petit Hotel' rooms are no longer
available for the night. This is strictly a restaurant.
